During my time at Muskingum University, I was fortunate to be part of Orbit Media, the on-campus media team. This role allowed me to explore various aspects of video production and storytelling, both in front of and behind the camera.
On-Camera Work
One of my primary projects was hosting The Final Lap, a program dedicated to showcasing student athletes and coaches. I conducted prerecorded interviews that highlighted their unique stories, such as:
- Success stories of sisters playing volleyball.
- A wrestler’s journey back from injury.
- A special feature with retiring athletic director Larry Shank.
Video Packages
Behind the scenes, I worked on producing video packages for campus events, including:
- An Art Gallery opening.
- The Homecoming Bonfire celebration.
These projects involved creating scripts in AP Style, recording audio with Adobe Audition, and editing footage using AVID.
The opportunities I had at Muskingum University were foundational, providing me with the skills and passion to pursue a career in media production.
